Game 1 Reaction: Bruins 4, Maple Leafs 1
BOSTON -- For the past two days, the Boston Bruins insisted their late-season funk was in the rearview mirror. There would be no more blown leads in the third period and no more lackluster starts.

The Old And The Young
From Elias: Jaromir Jagr (age 41) and Dougie Hamilton (age 19) each scored a goal in the Bruins' 3-0 win over the Panthers on Sunday. It was the fourth time in Bruins history that they had a 40-something player and a teenager score goals for them in the same game. The first pair of Bruins to do that was Jean Ratelle (age 40) and Steve Kasper (age 19) on Feb. 14, 1981 at Los Angeles, and 30 years later Mark Recchi (age 42 and 43) and Tyler Seguin (age 18 and 19) teamed up with goals in the same game twice in 2010-11 (Nov. 17 and Feb. 17). The only other two-generation goal pairing in the NHL this season is Ottawa's Daniel Alfredsson (age 40) and Mika Zibanejad (age 19), who pulled it off three times before Zibanejad turned 20 years old last Thursday.
