Huberdeau, who scored on a penalty shot on February 21 at Philadelphia, is the second rookie in NHL history to score two penalty-shot goals in one season. Huberdeau Is First Rookie To 10 Goals
From Elias: Florida's Jonathan Huberdeau became the first rookie to reach double-figures in goals this season when he scored the second of his two goals in the Panthers' 3-2 loss to the Hurricanes on Sunday. This is the third time that a Florida rookie has been the first freshman in the NHL to score 10 goals in a season (based on the earliest date). The other Panthers rookies to do that were Mark Parrish in 1998-99 and Kristian Huselius in 2001-02.

Four-point Game With A Penalty-shot Goal For Huberdeau
From Elias: Rookie Jonathan Huberdeau became the first rookie to record four points in an NHL game this season when he scored two goals and assisted on two more goals in the Panthers' 5-2 win at Philadelphia. Huberdeau tied the Florida team record for points in one game by a rookie, a mark set by Jesse Belanger in 1993-94, the Panthers' inaugural season, and equaled by Mark Parrish in 1998-99. Huberdeau's first goal came on a penalty shot in the first period. It was the first penalty shot taken by a rookie in an NHL game this season and the fifth penalty shot by a rookie in Panthers history. Florida's rookies have done very well on their penalty shots, scoring four times in five tries, with goals by Nathan Horton (2004), Michael Frolik (2009), Shawn Matthias (2010) and Huberdeau. The only Panthers rookie to miss a penalty shot attempt was Kamil Kreps (2007).
