Elliott Sets April Wins Record
From Elias: With his 4-1 victory over the Flames on Thursday, Blues goaltender Brian Elliott became the first NHL goaltender to register ten April wins in one season. He's also the second goaltender in Blues franchise history to reach double figures in wins in one calendar month. Brent Johnson notched 11 wins for St. Louis in January 2002.

Elliott Ties Record For April Wins
From Elias: Brian Elliott's 3-1 victory over Colorado on Tuesday was ninth win in 11 games this month, tying the NHL single-season record for wins by a goaltender in the month of April set by Martin Brodeur with the Devils in 2006. (Brodeur was perfect that month, winning all nine regular-season games he played.) Elliott's record-tying achievement in April is remarkable in light of the fact his record this season at the end of March was 3-6-1 in 11 games.

Elliott Has Turned It Around In April
From Elias: Brian Elliott and the Blues posted a 2-1 shootout win over the Canucks. In addition, he's the first goaltender in Blues history to win six games in April in one season. The previous team record of five April wins was shared by Grant Fuhr (1999) and Brent Johnson (2002).

Blues Post Their Third Straight Shutout, All On The Road
The Blues have played three games on their current road trip and they've won them all without allowing a goal: 1-0 at Detroit on Sunday, 1-0 at Nashville on Tuesday and 2-0 at Minnesota on Thursday. Brian Elliott has been in goal for St. Louis for all three shutouts, facing a total of 66 shots on goal. The Blues are the first team to post shutouts in each of three or more consecutive games in one season, all on the road, since the Coyotes and goaltender Brian Boucher set an NHL record with a four-game streak in January 2004. Elliott's run of three consecutive shutouts is quite a turnaround for him. Before Sunday's win at Detroit, Elliott had made nine starts this season and allowed at least three goals in eight of those nine games (3-5-1, 3.82 GAA).

Elliott Shuts Down The Wings
From Elias: Brian Elliott, whose nine shutouts last season were the second-most among NHL goaltenders, recorded his first shutout this year when he led the Blues to a 1-0 win over the Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena. It was only the fifth time in the Blues' 45 seasons in the NHL that they shut out the Red Wings in a regular-season game in Detroit.
