From Elias: Torey Krug scored the first goal in Bruins' Game 2 victory against the Rangers, after scoring a goal in his NHL playoff debut in the series opener. Krug is the first rookie defenseman to score goals in each of his first two Stanley Cup playoff games since 1988, when another Bruin, Glen Wesley, scored a goal in each of his first three postseason games.

From Elias: Rookie defenseman Torey Krug, making his playoff debut, scored the first goal of his NHL career (regular season or postseason) to get the Bruins level with the Rangers at 2-2 in the third period of their second-round series opener. Krug is the only the second Bruins player in the last eight playoff years to score a goal in his first Stanley Cup game; Tyler Seguin did so in Game 1 of the 2011 Eastern Conference Final against Tampa Bay. Krug was the first Boston defenseman to score a goal in his first playoff game since Glen Wesley in 1988 versus Buffalo.
