Ladd Gets Goal And Assist In A 3rd Straight Game
From Elias: Andrew Ladd had a hand in all three of the Jets' goals in their shootout win against the Lightning, scoring two himself and assisting on goal by Blake Wheeler. Ladd, who earned a goal and an assist in each of Winnipeg's previous two games, is the second Jets player to get goals and assists in each of three consecutive team games this season; Evander Kane did that in January. Before this year, no Thrashers or Jets player had produced a three-game streak of that kind since Atlanta's Ilya Kovalchuk in the spring of 2009.

It was the quickest goal from the start of an NHL game this season and it matched the earliest goal in a game last season. The earliest scorer in a game last season was another Jets player, Kyle Wellwood, on Oct. 17, 2011 against Pittsburgh.

Ladd has been red-hot this month, tallying seven goals in nine games.
