There are some depth chart issues to be aware of as the teams boasts plenty of capable forwards. Any player not showing chemistry in the top-six will get a quick demotion. Callahan probably doesn't have to worry about that situation, but Carl Hagelin has uncanny chemistry with Brad Richards and will likely start on the top line with Rick Nash while the same can be said for Derek Stepan with Gaborik. That leaves Callahan as a top-six forward, but doesn't account for rookie Chris Kreider having success at the start of the season.
