While John Tavares might have the name value, it might just be Nielsen who ends up the first-line centerman for the New York Islanders. His 44 points in 71 games don't represent the full potential for Nielsen, considering the line that had so much success wasn't together until February, when Okposo made his return. In the 29 games in February and March for which the trio was intact (before Nielsen's concussion), Nielsen had 23 points. He has big-time sleeper potential if the Isles put the line back together this season.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Fri Sep 9"},"playerRater30DAY":6.3,"playerRater15DAY":5.7,"positionRank":61}

The Isles' Closer Does It Again
From Elias: Frans Nielsen scored the deciding goal in the shootout to give the Islanders a 3-2 win against the Panthers on Sunday. It was Nielsen's seventh goal in 11 shootout attempts this season and 23rd goal in 38 attempts in his career. Nielsen's lifetime shooting percentage in tiebreakers (60.5%) is the highest for any player with 20 or more attempts during the seven seasons that the NHL has used shootouts to determine a winner in tied games.
