From Elias: Defenseman Dan Girardi's power play goal 3:19 into the third period was the game-winner for the Rangers in their 3-0 victory over the Devils in Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Girardi has scored three goals in this year's playoffs and they've all been game-winning goals. The first one was in Game 7 of the Rangers' first-round series against Ottawa and the second was in Game 1 versus New Jersey. He's the first defenseman to score two game-winning goals in one playoff series since Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom in 2007 (first round vs. Calgary) and the first backliner with three game-winners in one playoff year since the Devils' Brian Rafalski had three in 2001.
