Another Multiple-goal Game For Tlusty
From Elias: Jiri Tlusty recorded his league-leading eighth multiple-goal game of the season when he scored twice for the Hurricanes in their 3-2 win against the Lightning. Tlusty, who had scored two goals in only four of his 228 games in the NHL before this year, is only the third player to register at least eight multi-goal games in one season for the Hurricanes since the team relocated to Carolina from Hartford in 1997. Jeff O'Neill had nine multiple-goal games for the Canes in 2000-01, and Eric Staal notched nine such games in 2005-06 and eight in 2008-09.

Tlusty Leads League In Multi-goal Games
Jiri Tlusty scored two goals for the Hurricanes in their 4-2 over the Bruins. Tlusty has recorded a league-high seven multiple-goal games this season (three goals once and two goals six times) while no other NHL player has more than five this year. Tlusty, who had only four multi-goal games in his five previous seasons in the NHL, has rarely scored a goal this year without scoring again in the same game. He's scored one goal in a game only four times this season and has been held goalless in 30 games.
