Concussion problems limited him to 32 games last season and he missed all of 2010-11. Before his April 2010 concussion, Mueller had just joined the Colorado Avalanche at the trade deadline and managed to score nine goals and 20 points in just 15 games with the club. Mueller said he is clear of all concussion-related problems heading into the 2012-13 season, and another change of scenery has him landing with the Florida Panthers. While there is little doubt the Panthers' top line will remain intact, Mueller is a top candidate for the second line. If he can find a connection with other forwards in the preseason, we could finally see an extended example of his NHL talent.
