Niskanen Is Off To A Fast Start
From Elias: Defenseman Matt Niskanen's tiebreaking goal in the third period was the game-winner for the Penguins in their 3-1 victory over the Panthers. Niskanen has never been noted for goal-scoring in his six-year NHL career but he's off to a good start this season (by his standards) with three goals in 10 games. That's one more goal than Niskanen recorded over his first 10 games in each of his previous five NHL seasons combined (two goals in 50 total games).
