Cogliano Returns To A Familiar Site For His Second Hat Trick
From Elias: Andrew Cogliano recorded the second three-goal game of his NHL career in the Ducks' 5-4 shootout loss at Phoenix. Cogliano's first hat trick came just over 13 months ago (Jan. 31, 2012) for the same team (Anaheim) against the same opponent (the Coyotes) in the same location (Phoenix). Since 1990, the only other NHL player whose first two NHL hat tricks were registered in road games against the same team was the Canucks' Mason Raymond at Calgary (Dec. 27, 2009 and Dec. 1, 2010). Cogliano's two hat tricks versus Phoenix are a bit of an aberration, because excluding those two games he's scored one goal in 21 career games against the Coyotes.
