Mason Saves 40 Again
From Elias: Flyers goaltender Steve Mason stopped 43 of the Senators' 44 shots on goal in his 2-1 win at Ottawa on Saturday night, after facing 41 shots while posting a victory over the Bruins in his last game (Tuesday). Over the last 40 years, the only other Flyers goaltender to win consecutive games in one season while facing at least 40 shots on goal in each game was Robert Esche in 2006-07 (Dec. 28 and Jan. 2).

Mason Builds Wall Against Boston
From Elias: Steve Mason, who was acquired by the Flyers in a trade with the Blue Jackets earlier this month, extended his winning streak to three games by making 39 saves as he led Philadelphia to a 5-2 victory against the Bruins. This is only the second time since March 2011 that Mason has won three or more consecutive decisions. He had a four-game winning streak for Columbus at the beginning of March 2012.

Mason And Bobrovsky, Linked Yet Again
From Elias: Steve Mason's 4-2 victory against the Rangers in Philadelphia was his first win since he was traded to the Flyers by the Blue Jackets two weeks ago. Mason became the first Flyers goaltender other than Ilya Bryzgalov to record a home win since Sergei Bobrovsky beat the Maple Leafs in Philadelphia on Feb. 9, 2012. (Bobrovsky was traded to Columbus last summer and supplanted Mason as the Blue Jackets' No. 1 goaltender, leading to the deal that sent Mason to the Flyers.)
