{"playerId":906,"percentChange":0,"averageDraftPosition":190.3,"percentOwned":7.6,"playerRaterSEASON":1.8,"playerRater7DAY":-0.9,"fullName":"David Jones","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Jones is a physical forward with enough offense to be used as a top-six forward consistently, but not enough offense to be a regular producer. Since Jones will get most of his points by osmosis, he is streaky. Still, the Colorado Avalanche will have little choice but to line him up on a top line this season. One of his best chances of success would be on a line with rookie Gabriel Landeskog where the two powerful forwards could create chances and finish plays from a playmaking center like Paul Stastny. A shot at 30 goals and 50 points will make Jones worth a look as a fantasy bench player or replacement forward during the season. Jones Has The Touch In Overtime
From Elias: David Jones scored in overtime to give the Avalanche a 2-1 victory against the Flames on Tuesday. It was the fifth overtime goal of Jones's five-year NHL career and all of his extra-time tallies have come since January 2011. That's the most regular-season overtime goals by any NHL player over the last 15 calendar months.
