Sobotka's First Hat Trick Keys Blues Win

From Elias: Vladimir Sobotka scored three goals for the Blues in their 4-3 overtime win at San Jose. Not only was it the first hat trick of Sobotka's six-year NHL career, it was his first multiple-goal game. Sobotka has scored six goals in five games this month (and five goals in his last three games), after recording only six goals in 97 regular-season games from April 2011 through the end of February this year. With March only nine days old, Sobotka has already bettered his previous high for goals in a calendar month by 50 percent (four in 14 games in December 2010).
