FANTASY HOCKEY
{"playerId":937,"percentChange":0,"averageDraftPosition":201,"percentOwned":95.3,"playerRaterSEASON":7.8,"playerRater7DAY":5.1,"fullName":"Sam Gagner","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Gagner didn't show huge stride overall last season, but it was certainly a memorable campaign as he became a household name with an eight-point performance in a game against the Chicago Blackhawks on Feb. 2. The Edmonton Oilers came to a contract resolution with the underachieving playmaker, so he will be back for the 2012-13 campaign. Gagner still has a lot to prove, having never eclipsed the 50-point plateau in his five-year career. Linemate quality can go a long way to determining performance, and Gagner, to be fair, missed out on all of the superstar additions, because they joined the Oilers in such a wave that they mostly played with each other. Now the pool of talent gets deeper with the addition of Nail Yakupov, and the veterans are expected to take another step back. That could leave a slick playmaker like Gagner anchoring a second line that includes a rookie sniper like Yakupov and a speedy winger like Magnus Paajarvi. Of course, if that scenario does not come to pass and Gagner is once again buried on the third line, it will become painfully obvious that he can be ignored in fantasy circles until he gets an eventual change of scenery. After all, he is entering his sixth NHL and is just 23 years old.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Thu Jan 10"},"playerRater30DAY":3.3,"playerRater15DAY":2.8,"positionRank":22}
