Bishop Posts A 45-save Shutout In His First Game For The Lightning
From Elias: Goaltender Ben Bishop made his Lightning debut barely more than 24 hours after the trade that sent him from Ottawa to Tampa Bay and made 45 saves as he led the Bolts to a 5-0 win at Carolina. Bishop tied the Lightning record for shots faced by a goaltender in a shutout, a mark set by Daren Puppa in his 2-0 win over the Kings on Nov. 27, 1995. Bishop is the second goaltender to register a shutout in his first game with the Lightning. The first was Dwayne Roloson on Jan. 4, 2011 at Washington.
