{"playerId":1307,"percentChange":0,"averageDraftPosition":153.7,"percentOwned":37.6,"playerRaterSEASON":-9.5,"mostRecentNews":{"news":"Reimer (upper body) will likely face increased competition from prospect Ben Scrivens during training camp in the fall, according to a report on Sportsnet 590 The FAN.","spin":"Scrivens has been playing out of his mind in the Calder Cup playoffs and has his team within a win of the finals. Leafs' assistant general manager Dave Nonis was on the station Friday and admitted the two goalies would likely compete for one spot next fall. The Leafs have expressed a desire to upgrade their netminding, so this likely means Reimer and Scrivens will be competing for the role of backup. Keeper leaguers need to file this away now and perhaps make adjustments, at least for the short term.","date":"Fri May 25"},"fullName":"James Reimer","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Neither a legend (Jean-Sebastien Giguere) nor a monster (Jonas Gustavsson) could keep Reimer from getting a chance at earning himself the starting gig in the Maple Leafs' crease. His work in January (four wins in seven starts, a 2.31 GAA and .932 SV%) and February (six wins in 10 starts, a 2.36 GAA and .926 SV% with two shutouts) effectively sealed the deal as to who the Leafs' goalie would be for the duration of the 2010-11 season, and a three-year extension signed this summer ensures that he'll have a shot to continue in the role for the near future. Those adept at the waiver wire (and paying close attention to the box scores) got a steal last season; this time around, he'll be taken in the realm of the fantasy No. 2s, but he certainly has a high enough ceiling to put up numbers in line with a No. 1.","seasonId":2012,"date":"Fri Sep 9"},"playerRater30DAY":-4.4,"positionRank":78}
