Iginla helped to set the tone for the game Wednesday, ringing a blistering slap shot off the mask of goalie Evgeni Nabokov early in Period 1, forcing on-ice officials to call a timeout while the tender regained his senses.","date":"Wed May 1"},"fullName":"Jarome Iginla","seasonOutlook":{"outlook":"Iginla has had some swings in value during the past several seasons, seemingly alternating from nearly 90 points, to nearly 70 points and back again. There doesn't seem to be any strong indicator as to why, other than perhaps the quality and health of his playmaking linemates. In the past couple of seasons where Iginla has fallen short of 70 points, he has lacked a healthy setup guy on his wing with regularity. Alex Tanguay missed several games last season and didn't have as strong a season as he usually does with Iginla. New head coach Bob Hartley should do wonders for the top line, and several star players have enjoyed career years under his tutelage. In fact, Hartley inherits a similarly shallow depth chart to the one he had when he became the Atlanta Thrashers coach, and he still managed to get the most out of his best players there. While the Calgary Flames don't look like contenders out of the gate, Hartley will have Iginla and the scoring lines doing their job. A return closer to a point-per-game pace should be in the cards for Iggy.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Tue Sep 11"},"playerRater30DAY":9,"playerRater15DAY":10.1,"positionRank":21}
