NIKOLAI KHABIBULIN NEWS FEED
The Bulin Wall Is Back!
From Elias: Nikolai Khabibulin recorded his first shutout in nearly 17 months when he made 43 saves in leading the Oilers to a 3-0 win at St. Louis. It was the first time in franchise history that an Oilers goaltender faced more than 40 shots on goal in a shutout victory. The only other Edmonton goaltender to stop more than 40 shots in a shutout was Curtis Joseph, who made 52 saves in a 0-0 tie at Detroit on December 10, 1996. The 43 shots were also the most that Khabibulin has faced in any of his 46 NHL shutouts.about 54 days ago | Elias Sports Bureau

Khabibulin Wins Against Former Team
From Elias: Former Phoenix goaltender Nikolai Khabibulin posted his first win against his old team in more than four years with a 3-2 shootout victory in Edmonton. Before Saturday, his last win versus the Coyotes was on Nov. 18, 2008 for the Blackhawks at Phoenix, and that game was also decided by a shootout. Khabibulin beat every other Western Conference team at least once between his last two wins against the Coyotes. Khabibulin winning a shootout has been a rare occurrence in recent seasons. Going into Saturday's tiebreaker in Edmonton he had lost his last six shootouts and nine of his last 10 shootouts.about 85 days ago | Elias Sports Bureau
