Expectations were high after the Calder Trophy winner notched 48 points in his rookie season. Then he posted all of eight points in his first 27 games this past campaign. No point in administering the sugar-coating; it was pretty ugly. However, the towering youth rebounded well by finishing with 37 points and a solid run in the postseason. A very mature, adult reaction for a fella who turned 21 earlier this calendar year. We believe Myers, having survived the pressure of such media scrutiny and fan criticism, is in position to have a very productive 2011-12. He certainly has the physical tools.
