He will come into this season eager to earn back a role on the scoring lines, and although he is a natural center, he can play the wing if need be. The problem lies in the fact that the Colorado Avalanche had some pretty good chemistry on their scoring lines last season and Duchene may have to settle for turning the third line into a scoring line through performance. Either way, he certainly has the talent and drive to make last year nothing more than a speed bump on his road to stardom. There is risk with Duchene, because ice time might not initially be there, but count on him earning his way up and at least getting back to a level similar to his sophomore campaign.
