In fact, Wilson playing on the first line with Martin Erat is about the only shot the Preds have at producing a player with 0.70 points per game for the first time since 2008-09. But the team and coach Barry Trotz have tended to lean toward safe and defensive in the past, so it is hard to envision Wilson immediately taking over for Fisher.
