Markstrom has faced at least 38 shots on goal in four of his last five wins, including another game against the Rangers, on March 21, when he made 44 saves and allowed only one goal.

From Elias: Jacob Markstrom stopped 39 of Tampa Bay's 41 shots on goal in regulation time and overtime, and then saved all three shots he faced in the shootout that earned him and the Panthers a 3-2 win over the Lightning. Markstrom Sets A Panthers Rookie Mark
From Elias: Jacob Markstrom set a Panthers record for saves in one game by a rookie goaltender when he stopped 44 shots in his 3-1 win against the Rangers at Madison Square Garden. The previous high for saves in one game by a Florida rookie was 43 by Roberto Luongo in a 4-2 loss at Ottawa on Feb. 22, 2001. Before Thursday, the only time a Panthers rookie won a game in which he made 40 or more saves was when Markstrom turned away 40 shots in his 2-1 victory at Montreal on Oct. 24, 2011.
