Ben Scrivens: First Two Nhl Shutouts In Consecutive Games
From Elias: Toronto's Ben Scrivens, who registered his first NHL shutout with a 34-save, 3-0 victory against Ottawa on Saturday, made it two shutouts in two games by stopping all 37 shots he faced in a 3-0 win at Florida on Monday. Scrivens and Anders Lindback are the only active NHL goaltenders whose first two NHL shutouts came in consecutive games. (Lindback posted shutouts #1 and #2 for Nashville on Dec. 11-13, 2010; he's still looking for shutout #3.) Scrivens is also the first Maple Leafs goaltender to post shutouts in consecutive games while facing more than 30 shots on goal in each game since Bruce Gamble did that in 1966 (March 3-5).
