Surprise Shark Attack Gives San Jose A 2-0 Lead
Patrick Marleau found the back of the net in the last minute of regulation in Vancouver before Raffi Torres provided the game-winner in overtime as the Sharks downed the Canucks, 3-2, to win the first two games in the series. It's the second time in team history that San Jose tied a playoff game in the last minute of the third period. The other such game was on April 16, 2010, when Joe Pavelski scored a game-tying goal with 32 seconds remaining before Devin Setoguchi won it in overtime against the Avalanche.

Marleau Has Finally Found His Goal-scoring Touch In Detroit
Patrick Marleau scored the first goal in the Sharks' game at Detroit and later tallied the decider in the shootout that earned San Jose a 3-2 win over the Red Wings. Marleau has scored a goal in each of his three games at Joe Louis Arena over the last two seasons. That sounds like a modest feat for a player who's scored over 400 goals in his NHL career, but consider that Marleau scored only one goal in 25 regular-season games at Joe Louis Arena over his first 13 seasons in the league (1997-98 through 2010-11).
