From Elias: Sidney Crosby reached the 600-point mark in his NHL career with the third of his four points in the Penguins' game at Buffalo on Friday. Crosby achieved that milestone in the seventh-fewest games of any player in NHL history (430) and at the seventh-youngest age (24 years, 236 days), and he did it faster and at a younger age than any other active player. The only other active player to reach 600 career points in fewer than 500 games are Teemu Selanne (455), Alex Ovechkin (464) and Jaromir Jagr (481). Jagr is the only other active player to do so before his 25th birthday (24 years, 324 days).

16th 25-goal Season For Selanne
From Elias: Teemu Selanne scored his 25th goal of the season on Wednesday, giving him 16 seasons with 25 or more goals. That's tied for the fourth-most 25-goal seasons in NHL history, with Marcel Dionne, Brett Hull and Brendan Shanahan. The only players with more are Gordie Howe (20), Jaromir Jagr (17) and Mike Gartner (17).

Selanne Moves Up The List
From Elias: Teemu Selanne's game-tying third period goal was the 1,399th point of his NHL career, allowing him to take sole possession of third place on the list of NHL points leaders among European-born players, passing Jari Kurri (who, like Selanne, was born in Finland) at 1,398 points, behind two players born in Czechoslovakia: Jaromir Jagr (1,645) and Stan Mikita (1,467). (Mikita emigrated to Canada when he was eight years old.)
