As made evident by his renaissance performance with the Dallas Stars this past season, Sheldon Souray plays best when trying to prove his worth. A fantasy force right out of the gate, Souray notched 13 points in the first month (14 games) of the 2011-12 season before settling into a less aggressive routine. Now the veteran D-man has to justify the average $3.67 million annual salary he took to join the Anaheim Ducks for the next three years. So, again, we expect a vigorous start from Souray (armed with that vicious shot of his), followed by diminished numbers as the shortened campaign wears on.","seasonId":2013,"date":"Thu Jan 10"},"playerRater30DAY":0.5,"playerRater15DAY":-3.6,"positionRank":16}

Ducks Have Blackhawks Number
From Elias: Sheldon Souray's goal with 2:08 remaining snapped a 1-1 tie and enabled the Ducks to post a 2-1 victory at Chicago, their third win in three games against the Blackhawks this season. The other Western Conference teams have won only five of 30 games versus Chicago this year (one win each for the Wild, Canucks, Avalanche, Oilers and Kings).
