Tugnutt posts second shutout of season

CHICAGO (AP) -- Ron Tugnutt made 20 saves for his second shutout
this season and 23rd of his career, and Mike Modano scored two goals to lead the Dallas Stars over the Chicago Blackhawks 3-0 on Sunday.

Scott Young added a goal and an assist for Dallas, which
extended its unbeaten streak to four (2-0-2). The Stars have lost
only once in 12 games (8-1-3) and twice in 25 (17-2-6).

Tugnutt, the Stars' backup goalie, made his fifth straight start

by the struggling Blackhawks.

Steve Passmore stopped 17 shots for Chicago, which has lost
three games in a row and six of seven.

The Blackhawks, 3-12-2 in their last 17, slipped below .500

net and pounced on the rebound just as it fell to the ice.

Young deflected in Hatcher's shot from the point just 34 seconds

third. Set up by Jere Lehtinen, Modano ripped in a high one-timer
