MONTREAL (Ticker) -- The Montreal Canadiens try to extend their unbeaten streak to five games when they complete a home-and-home series against the Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday at the Bell Centre.

The Canadiens are 2-0-2 since losing to Vancouver on November 25.

On Friday, the Canadiens tied the Hurricanes in Raleigh, 1-1, as Mike Ribeiro scored a power-play goal with 5:49 left in regulation.

Kevyn Adams tallied a short-handed goal in the first period for Carolina, which dominated play but only could get one of its 36 shots past Jose Theodore.

In overtime, Montreal's Yanic Perreault beat Kevin Weekes on the glove side but hit the post on a wrist shot.

Carolina, which is opening a four-game road trip, went 0-for-7 on the power play.

The Hurricanes are 2-4-3-1 in their last 10 games.
