TORONTO (Ticker) -- The New York Rangers aim for a fifth victory in seven road games when they visit the Toronto Maple Leafs at the Air Canada Centre on Saturday.

The Rangers improved to 4-1-1 in their last six road contests after a 3-1 triumph at Buffalo on Friday.

Anson Carter scored for the fourth time in five games and had an assist for New York, which snapped a two-game losing streak and won for just the second time in six contests, climbing back to .500 (11-11-5-2).

Jussi Markkanen made 19 saves for the Rangers, who attemped 34 shots.

The Maple Leafs, whose eight-game winning streak ended against St. Louis on Tuesday, rebounded to beat Minnesota on the road on Thursday, 1-0.

Ed Belfour made 28 saves and Tom Fitzgerald scored in the first period for Toronto, which attempted just 17 shots.

The Maple Leafs beat the Rangers in their first two meetings this season, 4-2 in New York on November 30 and 5-4 here two days later.
