DALLAS (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars can extend their five-game unbeaten streak on Wednesday when they host the Montreal Canadiens.

Dallas had its four-game winning streak snapped with Monday's 2-2 tie with Philadelphia. Defenseman Sergei Zubov scored a power-play goal and set up another as the Stars spoiled Ken Hitchcock's return to Dallas.

The Stars have killed off 40 straight power-play opportunities in 10 straight games. The team's longest stretch without allowing a man-advantage goal is from November 29-December 27, 1967.

Dallas goaltender Marty Turco has surrendered 11 goals in the last nine games, with five coming in the last two contests.

Montreal last played with a 2-1 victory at Atlanta on Monday. Pierre Dagenais scored the eventual game-winner in the final minute of the first period and defenseman Andrei Markov also tallied.

The Canadiens, concluding a four-game road trip, improved to 8-4-3-1 in their last 16 games.

Dallas swept both meetings with Montreal last season, scoring nine goals in the two games.
