St Louis (22-10-5-1) at Carolina (12-17-8-2) 7:00 pm EST

RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Blues look to continue their recent success against the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday when the teams meet for the only time this season.

The Blues are 36-20-5 all time against Carolina, including a 5-0-1 mark in the last six meetings. The teams are meeting for the first time since January 20 when Scott Mellanby scored twice and Doug Weight added three assists to lead St. Louis to a 5-3 victory here. The Blues have won their last three visits to Carolina.

St. Louis comes off Monday's 1-1 tie with the Minnesota Wild and is 2-4-3 in its last nine games. Mark Rycroft scored just 29 seconds into the game and Chris Osgood made 23 saves. Weight collected an assist for his 800th NHL point.

The Hurricanes have lost three in a row to fall to 2-3-0 on a seven-game homestand that ends Thursday vs. the New York Rangers.

Carolina has scored just six goals on the homestand after Sunday's 3-0 loss to Phoenix. The Hurricanes have not scored more than two goals since a 3-2 victory at Edmonton on December 9.
