MONTREAL (Ticker) -- Sheldon Souray and the Montreal Canadiens try to carry over some of their offense from their last outing into their contest with the St. Louis Blues on Tuesday.

Souray set a team record for points by a defenseman with one goal and five assists in an 8-0 rout at Pittsburgh on Saturday. He assisted on the Canadiens' first five goals, including four on the power play, and scored in the third period.

Rookie Michael Ryder added two goals and two assists and Mike Ribeiro added one and three for Montreal, which is 5-1-1 in its last seven games.

The Blues had gone 0-3-1 in their prior four contests before beating Chicago on Monday, 7-4, in a game in which both starting goaltenders were pulled. St. Louis' Chris Osgood was removed in favor of Reinhard Divis after giving up four goals on just 14 shots.

Defenseman Chris Pronger and Mike Danton each scored two goals for St. Louis, which scored three goals after just five shots.

The Blues beat the Canadiens here, 5-2, in their one meeting last season on November 5, 2002.
