EDMONTON, Alberta (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars try to conclude
an already successful five-game road trip on a high note on
Tuesday when they visit the Edmonton Oilers.
Dallas improved to 3-1 on the road trip with Monday's 3-2
victory at Vancouver. Pierre Turgeon and Bill Guerin each scored
first-period goals to lead the Stars.
The Stars are 8-3-4 in their last 15 games, but two of the
losses have come against Colorado.
Edmonton is back home after disappointing results on the road at
Nashville and Columbus. The Oilers suffered a 2-1 loss against
the Predators on Saturday and skated to a 4-4 tie the next night
Eric Brewer's power-play goal in the third period forged the 4-4
tie. Fellow defenseman Steve Staios added three assists for the
Oilers, who managed 15 of their 31 shots in the third to
salvage a point.
Dallas won three of four meetings with Edmonton last season.
