CALGARY, Alberta (Ticker) -- The St. Louis Blues try to avoid
their longest winless skid in 25 years on Thursday when they
continue a four-game road trip against the Calgary Flames at
The Blues are 0-7-1 since a 2-1 overtim win at Florida on
January 19. They have not gone nine straight games without a
victory since an 11-game slide from March 13-April 3, 1979.
St. Louis is without a victory in its last five road games
(0-4-1) after Wednesday's 5-3 loss to the Edmonton Oilers.
Doug Weight and Scott Mellanby had two assists apiece for the
Blues, who squandered a pair of leads en route to their fourth
Keith Tkachuk, Jamal Myers and Chris Pronger scored as St. Louis
scored more than two goals for the first time since January 15.
It has just 10 goals during its winless skid.
Blues goaltender Reinhard Divis allowed four goals before being
pulled after the second period. It was the second time straight
game St. Louis pulled its starting goalie.
Calgary is 1-1-1 on a four-game homestand after skating to a 4-4
tie against the Los Angeles Kings on Tuesday.
Jarome Iginla recorded his fourth career hat trick for the
Flames, who squandered a pair of two-goal leads and fell to
4-6-2 in their last 12 games.
Dean McAmmond also scored for Calgary and Shean Donovan and
Craig Conroy - who spent parts of five seasons with the Blues -
each had assists. Donovan has four goals and five assists in
his last seven games and Conroy has a goal and four assists
during a four-game points streak.
The Blues posted a 2-1 victory over the Flames here on October
24 and have won the last five meetings between the teams.
