ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- The up-and-down Nashville Predators are back on the rise once again.

The Predators go for their fifth straight victory Saturday when they skate with the struggling Minnesota Wild at the Xcel Energy Center.

Nashville opened its season with eight straight wins to come within two victories of the NHL's best start to a season. The Predators followed that run with a five-game losing streak, but since have responded in impressive fashion.

The Predators posted their fourth straight victory Tuesday with a 3-2 triumph over Los Angeles. Nashville had two power-play goals, including Adam Hall's game-winner midway through the third period. Eight of the Predators' last 11 goals have come with the man advantage.

Minnesota is coming off a frustrating 3-2 loss to Calgary on Monday in which it led, 2-0, after two periods before surrendering three goals in the third. Mikko Koivu and Randy Robitaille scored for the Wild, who lost their fourth straight game and scored three goals or fewer for the 12th straight outing.

The Predators went 2-0-2-0 against the Wild in 2003-04, including shutout victories in each of the last two meetings.
