RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Carolina Hurricanes have not lost back-to-back games this season. The Tampa Bay Lightning would love to end that distinction.

The Hurricanes try to rebound from just their fourth setback of the season Sunday when they host the defending champion Lightning at the RBC Center.

One of the biggest surprises of the season's first seven weeks, Carolina lost for just the second time in 13 games Saturday, dropping a 4-3 decision to the New York Rangers.

Eric Staal, Justin Williams and Niklas Nordgren scored for Carolina, which surrendered three power-play goals and won just 21-of-63 faceoffs.

Tampa Bay is coming off a 3-2 win against the New York Islanders on Thursday behind reigning league MVP Martin St. Louis' sixth goal of the season with under two minutes left.

Ruslan Fedotenko and Brad Richards also tallied for the Lightning, who won for the second time in three games.

The teams have met once this season, with Tampa Bay recording a 5-2 triumph on Opening Night. Vaclav Prospal had a goal and two assists to lead the Lightning, who got two assists apiece from Dave Andreychuk and Fedotenko.
