TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) - A pair of hot teams face off on Wednesday when the Tampa Bay Lightning host the Toronto Maple Leafs.

The Maple Leafs have posted a 6-1-1 record over their last eight games and have won three of their last four road contests.

Defenseman Bryan McCabe netted the game-winning goal in the third period Monday and Ed Belfour stopped 34 shots as Toronto posted a 2-1 triumph over the Florida Panthers.

McCabe leads all NHL defensemen with 10 goals and 33 points while fellow blue-liner Tomas Kaberle has 19 assists this season - the second-highest total among defensemen in the league.

The Lightning hope to exact a measure of revenge against the Maple Leafs, who posted a 5-3 victory over Tampa Bay at Air Canada Centre on November 5.

After dropping seven of eight to open the month of November, the Lightning have won five of their last six games.

Fredrik Modin scored a pair of power-play goals and Rob DiMaio added a tally and an assist as Tampa Bay skated to an easy 4-1 triumph over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Sunday.
