TAMPA, Florida (Ticker) -- John Grahame is making Tampa Bay Lightning fans forget about Nikolai Khabibulin.

Grahame goes for his franchise-record ninth straight victory Saturday when the Lightning host the Nashville Predators in an interconference matchup.

Khabibulin starred in net for the Lightning in 2003-04, leading the team to their first Stanley Cup championship. But the four-time All-Star signed with Chicago as a free agent in August, leaving Grahame as the starting netminder.

After getting off to a 5-8-1 start this season, Grahame has won eight straight decisions to tie a team record set by Khabibulin in 2004. He made 18 saves in Thursday's 5-4 victory over St. Louis.

Martin St. Louis scored the tie-breaking goal with 6:30 remaining for Tampa Bay, which has won four straight games, including the last three by one goal.

Nashville had won six of seven before dropping a 5-1 decision to the New York Rangers on Thursday.

Yanic Perreault scored the lone goal for the Predators, who lost goaltender Tomas Vokoun to a sprained knee early in the contest. He is expected to miss two weeks, with Chris Mason picking up a bulk of the load in his absence.
