NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) - Steve Sullivan and the Nashville Predators look to continue their recent offensive surge and conclude their homestand on a winning note when they host the Colorado Avalanche on Tuesday.

Since dropping three straight from December 8-13, the Predators have scored a combined 12 goals during their two-game winning streak.

Nashville tallied a franchise-record six times in the second period Saturday en route to a 7-3 victory over the Columbus Blue Jackets.

Sullivan registered a goal and an assist, Jordin Tootoo recorded his first tally of the season and defenseman Dan Hamhuis collected three assists for the Predators, who posted their NHL-best 15th home victory this season.

Nashville's leading scorer, Sullivan has produced three goals and five points in his last three games. The Predators hope to end their homestand with a perfect 3-0 record Tuesday when they host an Avalanche squad fresh off a thrilling 2-1 triumph over the New York Rangers on Sunday.

Captain Joe Sakic scored both Colorado goals, including the game-winner on a penalty shot in the second period.
