OTTAWA (Ticker) -- Dany Heatley and the Ottawa Senators hope to continue their torrid offensive pace when they host the New York Islanders on Friday.

After experiencing a short dry spell offensively for two weeks, the Senators have scored a total of 16 goals over their three-game winning streak.

Heatley and linemate Daniel Alfredsson both registered a goal and an assist Wednesday to lift Ottawa to a 6-2 triumph over the Carolina Hurricanes in a clash of Eastern Conference powers.

The Islanders look to pick up their defensive intensity and snap their three-game skid.

New York, which has yielded 16 goals in its last three games, dropped a 6-2 decision to the crosstown rival New York Rangers on Wednesday.

Mark Parrish and Trent Hunter registered consecutive goals to open the scoring, but the Islanders allowed six unanswered tallies to fall to 2-5-0 in their last seven contests.
