ST. PAUL, Minnesota (Ticker) -- Jean-Sebastien Giguere and the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim hope to rebound from a heartbreaking loss when they visit the Minnesota Wild on Saturday.

The Mighty Ducks on Friday tallied three times in the first period against star goaltender Marty Turco. However, Anaheim squandered the lead in the third session and ultimately dropped a 4-3 decision in a shootout to the Dallas Stars.

Giguere stopped 22 shots and made a dazzling save early in the shootout. But the 2003 Conn Smythe Trophy winner yielded a soft goal to Dallas' Antti Miettinen in the sudden-death portion of the shootout, as Anaheim fell 1-7 in overtime games this season.

Teemu Selanne scored his team-leading 19th goal and set up another in the opening session for the Mighty Ducks, who fell to 2-1-1 on their five-game road trip.

Minnesota also hopes to bounce back from a tough contest, a 4-2 loss at the hands of the Colorado Avalanche on Thursday.

Defenseman Daniel Tjarnqvist registered a goal and an assist for the Wild, who lost the opener of their franchise-record seven-game homestand.
