NASHVILLE, Tennessee (Ticker) - To say the Detroit Red Wings are streaking into the postseason would be a tremendous understatement.

Detroit can tie a season high with its ninth consecutive victory and extend a pair of road records Tuesday when it visits the Nashville Predators in the regular-season finale for both teams.

Having posted the second-highest victory total in franchise history, the Red Wings can post their 13th straight road victory and 32nd away from home this season - both league records. Detroit also has gone 20 games without a regulation loss dating to March 7.

Tomas Holmstrom scored a power-play goal with 44 seconds left and Henrik Zetterberg added two assists as the Red Wings rallied from a two-goal deficit in Monday's 3-2 triumph over the Dallas Stars.

While Detroit opens the playoffs against Edmonton, the Predators will be seeded fourth in the Western Conference and will meet San Jose in the opening round.

Chris Mason made 23 saves and was credited with scoring a goal in the third period for Nashville, which won its fifth game in a row with Saturday's 5-1 victory over Phoenix Coyotes.

Detroit has won the last three encounters against Nashville, including a 4-2 triumph March 31.
