RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- The Carolina Hurricanes started the season slowly but have played back to championship form as of late.

Carolina looks for its fifth win in six games when it faces the Dallas Stars on Saturday.

Erik Cole had a goal and three assists and Rod Brind'Amour added two goals and two assists to lead Carolina to a 4-1 triumph over the Washington Capitals on Friday.

Hurricanes goaltender John Grahame made 21 saves, winning for the first time in four appearances this season.

The Stars snapped out of their offense funk on Friday with a 5-3 victory over the Atlanta Thrashers.

Mike Ribeiro scored two goals and Patrik Stefan added a tally and two assists in the win.

Marty Turco made 20 saves for Dallas, which was 1-for-3 with the extra attacker. The Stars had scored only three goals in their previous four games prior to Friday's contest.
