LOS ANGELES (Ticker) -- The Dallas Stars have been struggling lately, so they might be glad to see the Los Angeles Kings.

Dallas and Los Angeles square off on Saturday in a battle of Pacific Division clubs.

The Stars have lost three of their last four, with a lack of offense the biggest reason. Dallas has only scored three goals in its last three losses.

Dallas concluded a brief two-game homestand with a 5-2 loss to the New York Rangers on Thursday. Defensemen Sergei Zubov and Philippe Boucher scored the goals for the Stars, who outshot the Rangers, 45-20.

Los Angeles tries to build off an impressive 4-2 upset victory over the Sharks in San Jose on Thursday. Anze Kopitar scored twice within a span of 1:53 of the first period to stake the Kings to a 2-0 lead.

Kopitar, a rookie, is having a solid season with eight goals and 27 points.

Michael Cammalleri and Derek Armstrong scored the other goals for Los Angeles, which failed on its only power-play opportunity.
