VANCOUVER, British Columbia (Ticker) -- The Vancouver Canucks have been playing tremendous hockey lately, and hope to keep it going when they host the Florida Panthers on Sunday.

Vancouver's two latest wins have come in dramatic fashion, as they downed the Dallas Stars, 2-1, in a shootout on Wednesday. Ryan Kesler scored the decisive goal in the shootout.

The Canucks stretched their winning streak to six with a 3-2 overtime win over the Edmonton Oilers on Friday. Matt Cooke scored the decisive goal in overtime while Roberto Luongo recorded 26 saves.

Luongo has been a big reason for Vancouver's success lately, as he has won his last six starts while only allowing 13 goals. Luongo is 23-15-1 this season with a 2.43 goals-against average.

The Panthers opened their three-game West Coast trip with two straight losses, the latest a 5-4 overtime loss to the Calgary Flames on Thursday. Rostislav Olesz led the Panthers with goals while Jay Bouwmeester had a goal and two assists.
