The Dallas Stars continue to receive excellent goaltending from both of their netminders -- even in a rare losing effort.

Still off to their best start in five years, the Stars look to bounce back and finish a four-game road trip on a high note Tuesday night when they visit the Phoenix Coyotes.

Dallas (6-2-0) had a five-game winning streak snapped in a 1-0 loss at Los Angeles on Saturday. Andrew Raycroft made 23 saves, but allowed a goal with 4:58 remaining as the Stars were shut out for the first time this season.

"I don't think there are a lot of things in the game that we can complain about besides finishing," forward Brenden Morrow said. "Sometimes the puck just doesn't go in for you and we didn't get one tonight."

The Stars, who are off to their best eight-game start since going 7-1-0 in 2006-07, have given up two or fewer goals in all but one of their games.

Dallas, however, isn't capitalizing on all of its offensive opportunities. The Stars are 3 for 28 on the power play -- 24th in the NHL -- and have created just five man-advantage situations the last three games, failing to score on any of them.

Their losses have come in Raycroft's only two starts, but Kari Lehtonen could be back in net Tuesday looking to extend the longest winning streak of his career. He is 6-0-0 with a 1.48 goals-against average and a .957 save percentage -- third-best in the NHL.

"We're kind of getting used to it from Kari, and we're relying on him to make a lot of those saves," Morrow said after Lehtonen's most recent start Friday at Anaheim. "We've been getting outshot almost double some nights, and he's been huge for us."

Lehtonen was in net for Dallas' 2-1 shootout victory over Phoenix on Oct. 10, making 40 saves as the Stars were outshot 41-25. He is 3-1-3 with a 1.94 GAA against the Coyotes.

Phoenix (3-3-1) is coming off a 5-4 victory Sunday at Anaheim.

The Coyotes had dropped their previous two, combining for just 44 shots and two goals, but they scored twice in the first period Sunday and took a 5-2 lead in the second.

Ten different players recorded at least a point. Martin Hanzal scored his first two goals of the season while Keith Yandle had a goal and assist.

"We have to be a team that gets on the puck, and we can't be sitting back," said captain Shane Doan, who had an assist but remains on 299 career goals. "We count on every single line to contribute. It can't be just one group. ... We have to have everyone going and everyone forechecking and creating things off the pressure."

The Coyotes failed to convert on three power-play opportunities Sunday and are 0 for 9 the last three games after starting the season 5 for 21.

Phoenix is 4-1-1 in its last six meetings with the Stars, winning six of the last eight at home between the two.
