TAMPA, Fla. -- The Philadelphia Flyers completed their domination of Tampa Bay this season with a rout.
Mike Richards had a goal and three assists, and the Flyers used a five-goal third period to win their fifth straight game, beating the Lightning 7-2 on Tuesday night.
"He's an amazing player," Flyers forward Dan Carcillo said of Richards. "He's a superstar in the league."
"We got better as the game went on," Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette said.
Carcillo also scored for the Flyers, who won all four games against Tampa Bay this season.
"We just came with a lot of jump, they took a lot of penalties there in the third and I think it hurt them," Carcillo said. "And luckily we capitalized."
Steven Stamkos had two goals to set a Tampa Bay record by extending his points streak to 14 games. He has 12 goals and 13 assists in the stretch.
"You get penalties, stuff like that, you try to stop it," Lightning coach Rick Tocchet said. "The momentum just went."
The Lightning have lost four in a row.
"I don't think the score is an indication of the way the game went," Lightning forward Martin St. Louis said. "Undisciplined in terms of taking penalties. A couple I thought were borderline, but that's the way the game is. Sometimes they go against you."
The Flyers outscored Tampa Bay 22-7 in the four meetings this season.
Lightning captain Vincent Lecavalier has not recorded a point in six straight games. Tampa Bay forward Ryan Malone, a member of the U.S. Olympic team, has gone 12 consecutive games without scoring a goal.
Richards skated through a couple of Tampa Bay defenders and made a backhand pass to Gagne for an in-close goal and a 3-2 Philadelphia lead 17 seconds into the third.
After Richards assisted on Gagne's second power-play goal at 4:34, van Riemsdyk, Giroux and Carter later scored to make it 7-2. Carter has scored a goal in five consecutive games.
Stamkos put the Lightning up 2-1 off a pass from Steve Downie during a 2-on-1 at 2:26 of the second. Downie has seven assists and 11 points during an eight-game points streak.
Carcillo tied it at 2 with 15:02 left in the second on a diving back-hander.
Richards, who has five goals and 11 points in four games against Tampa Bay this season, and Stamkos scored first-period goals.
