Joffrey Lupul suffers groin injury

Toronto Maple Leafs forward Joffrey Lupul left Monday's 6-0 loss to Columbus after the second period with what coach Randy Carlyle later revealed was a groin injury.

It is unclear if Lupul, who has seven goals this season, will have to miss any time. He had one shot on goal Monday before leaving.

Lupul has struggled with injuries before, playing just 16 games in the lockout-shortened 2012-13 season and topping 70 games in a season only four times.
